FAQ

Does BFC process E-6 or Slide Film? At the present moment, we aren’t offering E-6 services. Processing E-6 films requires specialized machinery, chemistry, and temperature regulation that we aren’t going to dive into until there’s adequate demand to justify it. For every 100 rolls of film most labs process, only around 2 are E-6. Slide film is beautiful and we’d love to offer you processing services one day but, for now, we’re staying as streamlined as possible to bring you the best and fastest C41 and B&W servicing that Brooklyn can offer.

Getting to Brooklyn Film Camera on weekends is hard for me, can I come and pickup my film on a week day? Sorry, but no. The only time to pickup your films in-person is on Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 - 6:00. For information about visiting us, please click here. We offer speedy shipping for a flat $4, however, so please consider that option when placing your order.

My film scans look terrible, I want a refund! Sorry to hear! 95% of the time when customers think our lab has ruined their film, it is unfortunately user error as opposed to a lab error. Common issues that cause bad negatives are: Light leaks, dead batteries, accidentally exposing the film to light, film scratching occurring in-camera, and more. That said, although we’re pretty excellent at what we do, when working with analog media accidents can (occasionally) happen. If you feel your film was processed incorrectly, scanned poorly, or otherwise damaged while in our hands, please email us at support@brooklynfilmcamera.com and we’ll be very happy to help you out. Please note, however, that we do not offer refunds for errors that occur on the user-side as the chemical and labor costs of processing/scanning the film have already been spent on our-side. Film is costly to process and, if everything was done correctly by our technicians (even if the results are not desirable to you), we simply cannot grant refunds.
